T19 - Intelligent Life Cycle Support

In collaboration with the Technical University of Braunschweig and Lufthansa Technik, an adaptive and automated software framework is being developed for geometry capture and aerothermodynamic analysis of low- and high-pressure turbines.

This framework is based on the methods developed in subproject C4, offers interfaces to the CFD solvers ANSYS CFX and TRACE, and can be used to analyze the influence of wear and manufacturing and repair tolerances on the performance and efficiency of jet engines.
